Kansas state law requires pedestrians crossing the highways at night to wear tail lights.

Really? Kansas... allow me to explain the various technology that is available to the pedestrians in the world.

There is white clothing- always a good option if you're wandering in the dark.... not ideal, but if that's ALL you have (well... technically you should just sit this all out and stay home- and NOT get hit by a car.)
There are flashlights.... the human headlight.
And then... blinkers, and traffic vests, and all that.

It's NOT necessary to ask pedestrians to take the bumper of a car and attach it to their behinds...

Why not have a normal law... like: DO NOT CROSS A HIGHWAY... EVER... UNLESS YOU LOOK BOTH WAYS AND DON'T SEE TRAFFIC FOR MILES... AND MILES!

Until next time... PLEASE don't get hit by a car!

The pin that holds a hinge together is called a pintle

Recently, I've started thinking about all the little things that make our lives easier. I don't mean the tiny products (toothpaste, pencils), but what makes UP those products. Since this is my first post, I thought I'd be as "deep" as possible. With all the car companies closing down, we've had think about their employees, recently out of a job. It wasn't, however, until I heard a news article that I began to think about those whose businesses depend upon those businesses. What about the company who specific purpose is that tiny gear that does that super important thingamabob in the whatsit? Look around your bedroom (Kitchen, living room, and car, etc) and you'll be shocked to see the little pieces that are making up your whole environment.
Our lives also start to look like these pintles. We all act as the tiny, unnoticeable, and yet completely important workings of each others lives. There is no person that can completely disappear from this world without a noticeable impact on those around them. Make sure that people know that they really, truly matter to you.

On a (much) lighter note, I wonder who get's to name these small, seemingly inconsequential objects. I mean, a pintle? I really want to invent something important so I can name it.

Until next time!
